Abstract: Among the more than 10,000 kinds of medicinal plant resources in China, there are many precious and endangered medicinal materials, and varied plant resources suitable for using in landscape design. The rational application of medicinal plant resources in landscape engineering is of great significance in many aspects, such as increasing landscape design, improving environment, and providing resources for scientific research and popular science. However, there lack of summaries and comments on the application of medicinal plant resources in landscape engineering. This paper summarizes the significance of the application of Chinese medicinal resources in landscape design and the categories of garden medicinal plant resources. It also elucidates the using of three kinds of garden medicinal plant resources as to improve the ecological environment, to release fragrance, and to supply medicine and food. Moreover, it summarized the application of medicinal plant resources in the configuration of specialized gardens of medicinal plants, the configuration of characteristic landscapes of botanical gardens, the configuration of characteristic landscape for urban gardens and the configuration for horticultural therapy. Finally, it discusses some problems existing in the application of medicinal plant resources in landscape designing and prospects the development of medicinal plants in landscape designing, in order to provide a basis for more scientific and more extensive application of medicinal plants in landscape designing.Abstract: Among the more than 10,000 kinds of medicinal plant resources in China, there are many precious and endangered medicinal materials, and varied plant resources suitable for using in landscape design. Abstract: Objective: The aim of this study is to detect various drug resistance elements from chicken feces by PCR technology, so as to lay a foundation for the application of PCR technology in the survey of drug resistance of intestinal microbiota. Methods: Genomic DNA was extracted from chicken feces, and different drug resistance elements were amplified by conventional PCR. Results: In this study, different classes of the drug-resistant genes tetA, tetB, blaSHV, blaTEM, blaCTX-M1, qnrA, aadA1, dfrA1 and sul1 were observed from collected chicken feces, and the detection rates of different drug-resistant genes varied based on time point at which the genes were amplified. Wherein, tetB progressively increased with the prolongation of feeding time, while blaTEM and aadA1 decreased with the prolongation of feeding time. In addition, integrase genes intI1 and intI2 were also detected in this study. Among the types of plasmid replicons, IncB/O, IncFIC, IncFIA, IncFIB, IncI1, IncN and IncFrep were detected in this study, and the number of replicon types carried by different samples ranged from 1 to 6, and the detection rate of plasmid replicons also had a time point difference, while, obvious regularity was not observed. In terms of the correlations between plasmids, the detected plasmids presented varying degrees of correlations. Conclusion: PCR technology could detect different drug resistance elements in intestinal microbiota.Abstract: Objective: The aim of this study is to detect various drug resistance elements from chicken feces by PCR technology, so as to lay a foundation for the application of PCR technology in the survey of drug resistance of intestinal microbiota. Abstract: Prediction of future fire probability and severity lays the foundation for formulating ecological fire prevention and global environmental protection policies. The present work focuses on overview of the fire regimes and their constitution basis to promote the understanding on the fire regime parameters and the related mechanism operated in the ecosystem. Through the application of remote sensing technology and fire models in fire regime research and predictions, research progress and achievements were made in systematically quantifying the fire characteristic parameters, with the emphasis on the influence of forest stand characteristics on fire regimes under climate change. It has been well understood that the fire regimes have obvious spatiotemporal characteristics from regional to global scale, and the fire regimes are closely related to forest stands and climate. The future fire regimes are likely to be dominated by climate changes. For this reason, the future research on fire regimes needs to further study the spatiotemporal fire process and quantify the parameters of fire regimes through constantly exploring the mechanism of the fire regimes driven by climate changes and the control measures; meanwhile, the research on fire regimes will continue to serve as a basis for forest fire management.Abstract: Prediction of future fire probability and severity lays the foundation for formulating ecological fire prevention and global environmental protection policies. Abstract: Viral diseases are primary diseases of tomatoes with an occurrence rate generally reaching above 30% and up to 90% in severe cases. Control of viral diseases is an enormous challenge in crop protection. Application of insecticide for preventing virus transmission through reduction of insect vectors is considered an useful means. The crop breeding technology and tissue culture are also employed to generate viral resistant cultivar or virus-free seedlings. However, these methods are often less effective in practice because of viral mutations. It has been reported that chitosan, as an efficient plant resistance-inducing elicitor, can inhibit the infection of pathogenic bacteria, induce the production of phytochemicals and stimulate plant self-resistance, and has been widely used in the prevention and treatment of viral diseases. In this study, by investigating the field disease index and monitoring the form and content of the virus in the diseased leaves and new leaves before each application, it was clarified that continuous spraying of 0.5% chitosan water solution for 3 times at an interval of 7 days has a significant control effect of preventing tomato virus disease. Negative staining electron microscope observation method visually showed the existence and changes of virus in leaves; RT-PCR method analyzed the virus types as tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV), tomato chlorosis virus (ToCV), tobacco mosaic virus (TMV); The qRT-PCR method further clarified that the inhibition rates of 0.5% chitosan solution on tomato spotted wilt and tomato chlorosis virus were 75.31% and 67.18%, respectively. It is concluded from our tests that the plant defence elicitor chitosan (a.i. 0.5%) is able to inhibit virus replication in crop cells and prevent the aggravation of tomato plant virus disease symptoms. Therefore, the strategy for the management of tomato virus disease is to apply the inducer chitosan regularly to maintain a low virus titer and prevent the occurrence and spread of virus disease.Abstract: Viral diseases are primary diseases of tomatoes with an occurrence rate generally reaching above 30% and up to 90% in severe cases. Abstract: In this paper, we studied the height and ground diameter growth of annual seedlings of Photinia prunifolia, and introduced its the morphological characteristic and geographical distribution. At the same time, through the seedling sowing and breeding experiment, we used the ordered sample clustering analysis method to analyze the high growth process of seedlings sown in Photiniaprunifolia. We divided the growth of seedlings into four different growth periods, seedling stage, growth stage, rapid growth stage and later growth stage according to the experimental investigation. The seedling stage and growth stage of Photinia prunifolia were 30 days. The initial growth period lasted for about 48 days. The rapid growth stage lasted for 120 days, which was 10.1 times and 5.2 times higher than the seedling height and ground diameter growth in initial growth period, respectively. In later growth stage, the seedling height and ground diameter grew quite slowly. The simulation correlation coefficient was as high as 0.99 by simulating seedling height growth and seedling age. The fitting degree was high. It showed that the relationship seedling height growth and seedling age of Photinia prunifolia was highly consistent with the Logistic population growth model. Meanwhile, by using the Logistic population growth curve model to fit the high and diameter growth of Photinia prunifolia, we elucidated the growth law of annual seedlings. Since the seedlings grew in the rapid growth stage, that is, the high growth rate of seedlings grew rapidly with the increase of seedling age, enough nutrient fertilizer should be supplemented at this stage to satisfy the rapid growth of seedlings. Annal seedling biomass accounted for 62.5% of the total biomass, and the fresh-weight ratio of above-ground biomass was 1.67. Therefore, this species has better lodging resistance and is suitable for seedling afforestation. The study provided references for the rational cultivation and utilization of new afforestation tree species.Abstract: In this paper, we studied the height and ground diameter growth of annual seedlings of Photinia prunifolia, and introduced its the morphological characteristic and geographical distribution.
