Abstract: Coffee grounds, though agricultural waste, are valuable as organic fertilizer, insect repellent, livestock feed, and biomass energy. This study evaluated four fermented coffee ground fertilizers (T1: coffee grounds, T2: coffee grounds + fermentation agent, T3: coffee grounds + rice bran + fermentation agent, T4: coffee grounds + rice bran) on cigar plants and soil microorganisms. T3 (coffee grounds + rice bran + fermentation agent) significantly enhanced cigar tobacco growth, increasing leaf length and width by 7.22% and 15.07% respectively. Soil organic matter, humic acid, available phosphorus, potassium, nitrogen, and total nitrogen all improved under T3. It also reduced harmful fungi (Fusarium spp., Burkholderia spp., Aspergillus spp., Pythium spp.) and increased beneficial Mortierella spp. Sensory evaluation ranked T3 highest in tobacco quality. Abstract: The species Hedychium spicatum (Zingiberaceae) is Hedychium plant from high-altitude areas, with great ornamental and medicinal value. The species H. spicatum has two completely different types based on the stamens and anthers, which is very distinguished with other plants in the genus Hedychium. By analyzing its sexual reproduction pattern, it is helpful for advancing the breeding process of Hedychium and Zingiberaceae. In this paper, two types of H. spicatum (A and B) were used as the mother plants to study the pollen viability, stigma pollinability, fruiting, and germination by different pollination methods. The results showed that the pollen viability of the two types of H. spicatum was highest at the 1st day of flowering, 78.85% and 69.41% respectively, and then decreased sharply; the stigmas were all fertile during whole anthesis, with the strongest fertility at the 2nd day of anthesis. The fruiting, saturation, and germination rates were higher when cross-pollination treatment for intraspecific crosses between different two types and within type. The overlap period of fitness of stamens and pistils was relatively short for two types of H. spicatum. Abstract: The extensive use of traditional chemical pesticides can have an impact on human health. On the other hand, biopesticides have the advantages of having fewer side effects on the human body and being generally more beneficial to health. In order to reduce the use of the chemical pesticide thiabendazole, cinnamaldehyde, an active plant extract, is compounded with thiabendazole to form a new type of low - toxicity biopesticide fungicide and preservative, and its fungicidal and preservative effects are studied. A large number of antibacterial experiments show that when the ratio of thiabendazole to cinnamaldehyde is 5 mg/L:0.05 g/L, it has a good inhibitory effect on Mucor and yeast, and when the ratio is 5 mg/L:0.15 g/L, it has a better inhibitory effect on Aspergillus niger. Through the analysis of the antibacterial experiments, the composite concentration ratio of thiabendazole:cinnamaldehyde of 5 mg/L:0.15 g/L is selected, and based on this ratio, the experimental agent CAT (cinnamaldehyde and thiabendazole) is prepared. After compounding, greenhouse experiments are carried out. Abstract: In order to explore the influence of water velocity on the heat collection performance of the active heat storage and release system for solar greenhouses in Xinjiang province, six different flow rates were selected for treatment in this experiment. The comprehensive heat transfer coefficient of the active heat storage and release system at the heat collection stage was calculated by measuring the indoor solar radiation intensity, indoor air temperature and measured water tank temperature. The prediction model of water temperature in the heat collection stage was established, and the initial value of water temperature and the comprehensive heat transfer coefficient were input through MATLAB software. The simulated value of water temperature was compared with the measured value and the results showed that the best heat transfer effect could be achieved when the water flow speed was 1.0 m³ • h-1. The average relative error between the simulated water tank temperature and the measured value is 2.70% ~ 6.91%.
