| Abstract: | Objective: In order to explore the genetic distance and evolutionary relationship of Staphylococcus xylosus, and to provide a basis for rapid detection and identification of Staphylococcus xylosus. Method: This paper focuses on all strains of Staphylococcus xylosus downloaded from NCBI as the research object. Based on 8 housekeeping genes (arcC, bglA, dnaJ, groL, purA, pyrD, recA, and tpiA), a multilocus sequence typing (MLST) process was created for Multilocus sequence analysis. Result: The results indicate that the MLST method created can effectively perform typing analysis on Staphylococcus xylosus. Among them, the 72 strains of Staphylococcus xylosus included in the analysis can be classified into 53 ST types, which can be further divided into 3 subgroups. In addition, among the 8 selected housekeeping genes, arcC and recA underwent significant genetic recombination. Conclusion: In summary, the established MLST method can be used for genetic evolution analysis of Staphylococcus xylosus. |
