Research on Human-Oriented Residential Park Design

| Abstract: | With the continuous advancement of the times and accelerating urbanization, residents' living standards have improved steadily. Urban construction must address not only residents' practical living needs but also how to better satisfy their spiritual pursuits. As a key determinant of residents' quality of life, residential community parks are subject to elevated people-oriented design standards. The design of residential parks should be rooted in practical conditions, accommodate the diverse demands of different social groups, adhere to the people-centered philosophy, advance research on residential park planning, and bolster sustainable development. This study aims to explore optimal approaches to residential park design by examining the planning and construction of Wuqing Cultural Park against the backdrop of local residents' needs.Through research on the psychological demands of diverse visitors to Wuqing Cultural Park, extensive literature review, and an analysis of the park’s existing planning and design, this paper seeks to create a rational, comfortable living environment for residents. It will further ease tensions between urban residents in Wuqing District and public green spaces, as well as the disconnect between city dwellers and nature. |
